How does a glass laser engraving machine work?

No stencil needs to be produced (as is required for sandblasting, for example) when laser engraving glass as the material is etched directly which reduces time and materials required.

How does engraving bottles or similar work?

CTR laser engravers have an optional plug and play rotary device which allows cylindrical items to be engraved and cut. All you need to do is define the diameter of the glass and the height of the graphic.

How deep will the laser etch?

With a laser you can create a very light etch. This is not sandblasting and you will not achieve that depth, but you can quickly create very elaborate designs with a laser that is lightly etched into the glass. This is a unique look that many people prefer to sandblasting.

What other materials can I process?

Glass etching is performed with a CO2 laser. This can also be used for engraving or etching of a wide range of other materials, including wood, glass, rubber, acrylic, laminates, plastics, leather, paper, textiles or foam.
