Ordering Process

Here are the typical steps for placing an order, start to finish.

 

  1. Initial contact.
    Contact our sales team to discuss your individual requirements.
    We will discuss the essential and desired features of a machine to carry out your work, and narrow down the options to ensure you get a machine that will do the work required.
     
  2. Quotation.
    A quotation will be sent confirming the specification of the machinery and the total cost for all of the equipment.
     
  3. Place your order.
    When you are happy with the machine specification and price, send us your purchase order by post or email.
    Where a deposit payment is due, our Accounts department will send you an invoice for the deposit value, which must be paid by return to avoid any delays in your delivery.
     
  4. Order confirmation.
    Your order will be processed, and the relevant paperwork confirming the items you have ordered will be sent to you by email (unless you have requested a copy by post).
    At this stage, a machine will either be allocated from production or stock depending on the machine specification.
    Once the machine has been allocated to you, we can confirm the estimated lead time for your delivery.
     
  5. Manufacture.
    Your machine will progress through manufacture, according to the agreed specification. When your machine is nearing completion we will contact you to begin the installation preparation process.
     
  6. Installation preparation.
    We will contact you to arrange a mutually agreeable delivery date for the machine to be delivered, installated, re-commissioned (following transportation) and the training carried out according to your original purchase order.
    When the delivery date has been agreed, we will send you the installation preparation paperwork. This paperwork must be read, completed, signed and returned to us before your installation can be carried out. This includes completing the names for the personnel who will receive the training we provide, and making sure the site is ready for the machine delivery.
     
  7. Delivery and Installation.
    When the installation paperwork has been completed, we will proceed with the delivery, installation and training as agreed.
    When you buy direcly from CTR we offer delivery, installation and training on our British Laser Machine systems.

    Delivery - we deliver your new equipment in one of our company vehicles (or a special hire vehicle for some larger custom-made machines).
    Installation - we will set the machine up in the desired location, and check the machine alignment (final re-commissioning) to ensure the optics are still correctly aligned after transportation.
    Training - our training course covers the machine and software operation, how to carry out the routine maintenance and the safety features of the machinery. As standard, this is for up to 5 members of staff.

    When buying from a distributor please contact them directly to confirm the package which you are purchasing.
     
  8. Post-Installation support.
    Once your machine has been delivered and installed you sign off the paperwork to confirm that the requested work has been completed. Our engineer will then leave your site, and your after-sales support and warranty begins.

    We have staff available to offer support on your new machine. As the machine has been designed and manufactured at our site in England, we know the machines inside out and can provide fast support by phone and email. If you have a question, simply contact us and we will offer you over a decade of dedicated experience in this specific industry sector.

    CTR offer warranty on all of our new British CO2 laser machines. The warranty details will have been outlined on your original machine quotation.
    Warranty callouts to your machine are provided by our staff according to the original warranty terms and conditions.

  9. Ongoing support.
    Once the warranty period has finished, our staff are available for on-site visits at our standard rates - please contact the main office for a price quotation.
    We offer lifetime assistance for our machines, so if the issue can be fixed remotely through phone or email advice there is no charge from CTR for this support.
