Driver Signature Enforcement

This article shows you how to disable to driver signature enforcement on your computer.

The Driver Signature Enforcement can sometimes cause issues with the operation of the software provided with laser machines, and the enforcement may need to be disabled on your computer to allow the software to open and operate correctly.

Please be aware that depending on your system setup, you may need to carry out these steps every time you start your computer.

Windows 7

  1.  Press the F8 key on your keyboard when your PC is starting up, before Windows loads. If your computer is already running, you will need to restart the PC using the relevant menu option in your start bar.
  2. Select the Disable driver signature enforcement option.


Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (64-bit)

  1. Hold down the SHIFT key while pressing restart on your computer. Restart can be found in the following places; Windows 8: this is on the login screen, or an option in your start bar power option menu list | Windows 10: on the start menu.
  2. Choose the Troubleshoot option.
  3. Open Advanced Options.
  4. Open Startup Settings.
  5. As you are changing a boot option, you will need to restart your computer again.
  6. Press the F7 key, and select the Disable driver signature enforcement option.
